How to configure a NetApp 64-bit root aggregate

If you are deploying NetApp Data OnTap 8.0.2 7-Mode, by default you will end up with a 32-bit root aggregate. You can perform the following operation to get a 64-bit root aggregate but I am only going to recommend doing so in a preproduction environment.

Start by installing NetApp Data OnTap 8.0.2 7-Mode as you normally would then create a new 64-bit aggregate. Then follow NetApp’s guide to move vol0 to the newly created aggregate found, here.
